Baby G is Growing Up...

Well There hasn't been to much happening in the last week... So there isn't too much to say!

Baby G really is growing! Although EVERYONE seems to tell us he's "So Little" I feel like he's growing every time I Blink! We are ALMOST out of all our newborn clothes.. Which Makes me Sad.. But With all the clothes this little boy has and the hot weather that decided to come early, there is a good chance he won't get to wear a majority of all his cute "Winter" Clothes. We have had to go out and get some Shorts/T-shirt outfits for him because the poor kid was sweating in his clothes! Glad we still have some Cool Nights and Days so he can wear some of them!
We have been waiting for him to wear his Billed Hat like Daddy's but its still to big.. We wore it on our walk anyways....
Hes Starting to become a "Person" which is really exciting! He LOOOOVES Standing. He's happier Standing then anything. So we "practice" standing on mom alot!

He's starting to smile at us. Which is GREAT! He just NEVER wants to keep it going while we grab the camera! One day we will catch the little booger! I'm sure one of the days We are at work he will get it on camera for Grammie KK. We did catch him laughing in his swing a couple days ago.. but stupid me recorded it sideways.. and I would hate to make you get sick while watching him be cute!

Today we tried to play with toys... He wasn't really into it. But he did love his Seahorse from Uncle Craig!!

Baby G's Announcements came today and I couldn't be more proud of them! Now I just have to get them mailed! Since we are heading to KC this weekend for a few days I hope to get them out before we leave! He's been a little needy the past couple days... and only wants to be in mommas arms. Which means I dont get alot done. We did try his carrier tonight. Facing out.. we have only tried it facing in... He seemed to like it so hopefully I will get LOTS more done during the days!
Well Thats about it for this week! This weekend we head to Warrensburg and Kansas City for him to meet LOTS of people... and then we head to the Doctor for his 8wk Check Up So we should have much more to report :)

I'll leave you with a Great Pic My Mom Took of Bubs... That just makes me Smile when I look at it!

The Madness of March Began...

I had planned on posting last week (to make this a weekly thing!) But I came down last Sunday with an awful bug bringing on a fever bursting at the seams of 102+. So I was out of commission for about 4 days.. Getting better just in time to head back to work!

Those of you think of March as NCAA March Madness. Here in Peoria March Madness has another meaning. Peoria hosts the Illinois High School Tournament as well.. Conveniently right across the Street from the Locker Room. So March brings lots of Madness to our life... and Brought me back to work.
Week 1 was great. My parents helped out with Baby G Lots.
He Also got to spend some A lot of time hanging out at The Locker Room - Sometimes it's actually hanging-
My Little Sister Emma Also Turned -16- March 8th that we got to celebrate before all the craziness started! I can't believe my little girl is Sixteen! I remember her going to preschool like it was yesterday. Crazy to Think I now have my own little one. She (And Lucy!) Were always my little ones!
Emma has grown up into such an amazing-beautiful-talented-kind hearted Young Lady.
A friend from college-Who Happens to be a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader was also in town for a Peoria Rivermen game (They are our Blues Affiliate who play across the street from The Locker Room). So we took Baby G over to the game so we could say Hi to Her! I just KNOW he will love this picture when he is older!

This weekend was C-R-A-Z-Y. March Madness PLUS St. Patty's Day! St. Patty's Day is Big in Peoria! Lots of Irish Catholic... and the Irish for the days! The parade packs downtown and brings on a GREAT day for the Locker Room!
Poor Nick Worked 3rd Shift, going into St. Pattys Day and came in to help bartend during the day! We were SO Busy so I'm so thankful that he did! Greyson hung out with My mom for the parade, but of course made a stop that the Locker Room!

Things Changing with Baby G
He is LOVING looking at things! He Loves playing on his Mat

He has been figuring out his tongue and been making some funny faces for us.
He loves going for walks with Derby in the beautiful weather.. and really has been starting to notice Derby more. I know they are going to be great friends!

I have a busy week ahead of me catching up from being sick last week.. Finishing up making his announcements Tops my list so I can finally Show off his Newborn pics.
So that's the updates on our life. I promise I will get better that this blogging thing! I must leave you with Baby G's 1 Month pics... since I forgot last post! OOPS!

The Beginning To Our State of Panek

Well.... Our Little Man Turned 1 Month Old on Sunday... ONE MONTH ... I Can't Even Believe it.
Having Nick's Family be all the way down in Warrensburg makes it so hard to share all of our Love for G with them everyday...
In Comes our Idea to Blog....
Neither Nick or I are ones who like to share alot of Facebook so we thought Blogging would be the best way to Brag about our Wonderful Addition to our Family and Friends

Our Precious Little Man 2 Days Old
This past month has been quite an adventure. Baby Greyson came into the world Saturday February 4th at 8:55pm. (He was a little shy for 8 Long Days) at 7lb. 14oz and 19in. An exciting day not only anxiously awaiting his arrival... But hoping.. Okay Nick was Praying he would arrive in time to cheer on MIZZOU to a win over KU. Although Greyson didn't quite listen to daddy, he did make his appearance right at half time. Don't worry you Tigers Fans.. Daddy had the game on in the background the whole time... He is True Fan..
We Spent our Super Bowl the first day of being a family... G even had his new hat to watch his first... of many Football Games

The next few days were great.. We enjoyed our time being a family in the hospital... The "Helpers" AKA Nurses and our visitors!
Daddy Doing Great!

Loving on Bubs
Shawna & Megan Visiting
Poor G didn't have name for the first 2 days of his life... Picking a name was alot harder than we thought it would be! For the past few years I wanted Cayden for the name of my kid. When the time came I decided it was just to popular not and I just didn't like it anymore. We did have a few names picked out prior and we just thought when we saw him we would know.....
SURPRISE.. We Looked at our Precious Baby Boy... and Could not decided
It didn't help I for one am the most indecisive person you could ever meet... We Liked Greyson..and Keegan, and Madden was in the running. Sunday we were down to Madden and Greyson... Liked them both and while we had a room full of visitors (Yup...all 11 people) who kept Bugging  Asking what the poor kids name was.
We talked quietly and Nick Announced we decided on Madden. It was cute, it had grown on us and that is the one we thought it was. After he announced it to them... I felt well... BUMMED.  Everyone was leaving and we were not sold on it.. so we told them we would text them the decision Soon. We talked and decided that we liked Madden... its very cute for a little boy.. but when he's older it wasn't going to be as Cute... so there it was GREYSON
... then the spelling debate.
G-R-E-Y-S-O-N or G-R-A-Y-S-O-N. With really no reason... E-Y Won.

Our first week at home went great! G had a great check up and only lost a 1/2 lb. The following weekend we were excited for G.Ma & "Pops" Panek and Aunt Katelyn to come visit us. We had a Great 2 days with them.. Showing off the Locker Room to Kates and them spoiling G.

We also had a great visit from Uncle Chris, Auntie Gina, Sydney and Tyler. We haven't seen them in SOO Long and were very excited they got to come down! Unfortunately since I have an AMAZING Mom who takes THOUSANDS of Pictures... I only have ONE picture from the visit... so another post is to come when I Steal those from her!
It seems like just yesterday Uncle Chris was spinning Tab and I in a sleeping bag in circles... Tossing us off the edge of the bean bag... or even telling stories in funny voices... Greyson has alot to look forward to with my favorite Uncle Rice Cripsy

So here it is... a Start of our life... More to Come.....
